Have you any idea about diabetes type 2?

My father is suffering from diabetes till 5 years. He doesn't avoid junk foods and sweets. Only do mornings walk. He doesn’t agree to do exercise. Now his fasting sugar level is in between 200 mg/dL to 250 mg/dL. So I decide to do metabolic diabetes surgery at Metabolic Surgery Clinic in Istanbul. My father is 55 years old. Is the surgery good for him. Need your advice.
